The present invention relates to a method for generating a motion depth map for a 3D image, comprising the steps of: obtaining a differential image from the present image and a previous image when an image frame is received; calculating an accumulation parameter according to an increase in motion frequency or calculating a reduction parameter according to a decrease in motion frequency on the basis of the differential image; and generating a motion depth map by increasing a depth according to the accumulation parameter or by reducing the depth according to the reduction parameter. According to the present invention, an improved depth map can be generated by using only pure motion data without using RGB data by generating the motion depth map by using a motion history image.
