Re- rangking using wordnet in tag-based retrieval

摘要

The present invention provides a method for adjusting a search ranking based on a correlation score with image tags using meaning information of a search word in order to increase satisfaction of a user in a tag-based web image search and improve performance of a system. A synonym and a hyperonym set of a wordnet are used in order to obtain the meaning information of the search word. A precision and a recall are calculated by examining a ratio of accurate data in the first three pages of a rank adjusted search result screen, thereby evaluating an effect of the method. Therefore, improved performance is represented compared to a general search result of a flicker site.
