Provided are an apparatus for creating olfactory information and a method thereof about an expression method for ability expression of electronic nose equipment and delivery of a recognized smell in a virtual reality system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, gas density of a chemical material sensed by an electronic nose is measured and then digitized. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a plurality of gas sensors recognizing a smell in a real world to obtain original data from a result of recognizing the smell in the real world; and a processor applying a calibration model, assigned to each of the gas sensors, to each of the measurement data on each of the gas sensors to generate a result of determination on each calibration model for each of the gas sensors, and comparing the result of determination on each calibration model for each of the gas sensors to determine whether to correct an olfactory recognition model which recognizes the smell in a real world based on a comparison result regarding the result of determination on each calibration model.
