The present invention relates to: a carbon-doped metal oxide nanostructure having a three-dimensional hierarchical porous structure; a method for manufacturing the carbon-doped metal oxide nanostructure; an electrode catalyst and a photocatalyst comprising the carbon-doped metal oxide nanostructure; and to a metal-air battery comprising the carbon-doped metal oxide nanostructure. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the carbon-doped metal oxide nanostructure exhibits photocatalytic activity under ultraviolet light and/or visible light and can be utilized in the photocatalyst field.
