Disclosed are a heteropolyacid catalyst supported on silica for producing para-xylene, a production method thereof, and a method for producing para-xylene using the catalyst. The catalyst secures high dimethylfuran conversion rate for a short reaction time in the production of para-xylene from biomass-derived dimethylfuran, and enables production of high selectivity para-xylene.
