A method for measuring glycated hemoglobin concentration using the optical properties of a red blood cell and an apparatus thereof are suggested. The method of measuring glycated hemoglobin concentration using the optical properties of a red blood cell comprises: a step of disposing a predetermined amount of blood on a medium; a step of irradiating the medium with a light source; a step of measuring the intensity oscillation of light transmitted through or reflected from the medium; and a step of analyzing the magnitude of the measured intensity oscillation of the light according to a predetermined criterion and determining the possibility of a diabetic patient. It is possible to measure the glycated hemoglobin concentration in an economical and noninvasive manner.
