A device for providing a user interface in a terminal device including a phablet phone, a tablet, and an electronic book reader of the present invention comprises: a touch screen; a storage part storing icons displayed on the touch screen; and a user interface part arranging the icons on the touch screen, and arranging and displaying the icons on the touch screen so as to be operated with one hand according to a detected swipe operation, when a state of the touch screen is in a lock screen state, if the swipe operation is detected on the touch screen. According to the present invention, the terminal device including the phablet phone, the tablet and the electronic book reader can be easily used with one hand.
