The present invention provides a method and a device for recognizing real time change of a simulation by using a hierarchical multi-filtering with respect to result data of the simulation and real data. The method for recognizing whether modification of a simulation model is needed by a change recognition device comprises the following steps of: determining values of a plurality of filtering parameters based on characteristics of the real data; generating simulation result data through the simulation based on the simulation model; performing the multi-filtering with respect to the real data and the simulation result data based on the plurality of filtering parameters; and comparing the multi-filtered real data with the multi-filtered simulation result data, and determining whether the simulation model needs to be modified.
