Managing features on IOS mobile devices using ANCS notifications

A system, method, and apparatus for managing predetermined functions on a mobile device (150) within a moving vehicle (110), the mobile device comprising an operating system including an event API configured for bidirectional communication with an external control device OS), and the control device is further configured to communicate with a software application installed in the vehicle and installed and executed in a memory residing in the mobile device.
