Disclosed are an apparatus for mediating an electric power transaction using demand response technology and a method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a demand response management unit storing demand response resource information of subjects having distributed power sources and measuring the demand response resource information at predetermined intervals; a demand response processing unit generating command information for fulfillment of demand response reduction using the demand response resource information and commanding execution of the demand response reduction to the subjects; and a demand response analyzing unit analyzing whether the demand response reduction is performed for each subject and notifying added revenue of the electric power transaction to the subject.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
