The integral geogrid includes a plurality of interconnected oriented strands made of a co-extruded multilayer polymer sheet material and having an array of openings therein. With this arrangement, the co-extruded multilayer sheet component provides a synergistic effect with respect to crystallinity during the extrusion and orientation of the integral geogrid, thereby providing a material property that provides a performance benefit to the use of the integral geogrid in artificial lipid reinforcement of the soil .
