摘要

The present invention relates to a method for executing a PLC operating system, and more particularly, to a method for executing a PLC operating system, for downloading the operating system by referring to registers inside a micro processor unit (MPU), and loading and executing the latest operating system from among the downloaded operating systems. The method for executing a PLC operating system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: determining a state of a communication port of the MPU by referring to the registers in the MPU; downloading an operating system from the external device through the communication port when it is determined that the communication port is active and an operating system update notification signal is received from an external device; storing the downloaded operating system in a first memory unit; loading the latest operating system among at least one operating system stored in the first memory unit onto a second memory unit; and executing the latest operating system by referring to the second memory unit. Therefore, an error of download of the operating system due to the power-on is prevented, and the stability in driving the PLC operating system is improved.
