The present invention relates to a GNSS receiver for calculating a location from a positioning signal transmitted by a plurality of GNSS transmitters and a method thereof. The receiver comprises first and second signal acquisition elements (301) having different polarized waves. The receiver is formed to calculate a first pseudo-distance measurement value (203) by processing a signal received on the first signal acquisition element, a second pseudo-distance measurement value (303) and a related quality indicator (304) by processing a signal received on the second signal acquisition element. The receiver comprises a calculation circuit (306). The calculation circuit is formed to select at least one of the second pseudo-distance measurement values depending on the quality indicator, to compare the second pseudo-distance measurement value to a corresponding first pseudo-distance measurement value, and to select at least three of the first pseudo-distance measurement values based on the comparison result to calculate a location (204).
