The present invention relates to an image system for improving visibility of an image and a method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to an image system for improving visibility of a foggy/night image in a brightness-color difference signal color coordinate system. It is not only possible to improve visibility of an image of which visibility is lowered due to impurities in air, such as fog, smoke, yellow dust, fine dust, and the like, but also possible to provide an image with improved visibility in real time from a low-illumination image such as a night image or a dark indoor image. According to the present invention, the same operation is performed not only on an image of which visibility is lowered due to impurities in air, such as fog, smoke, yellow dust, fine dust, and the like but also on a low-illumination image such as a night image or a dark indoor image. Thus, it is possible to provide an image with improved visibility in real time.
