The present invention relates to a preparation method of a water repellent coating solution and a manufacturing method of a water repellent coating film using the water repellent coating solution, wherein the preparation method of the water repellent coating solution comprises the steps of: mixing tetraethyl orthosilicate and a non-fluorinated silane to prepare a solvent; dripping water (H_2O) and an acid into the solvent in which tetraethyl orthosilicate and the non-fluorinated silane are mixed, and performing a condensation reaction of the solvent having water and acid dripped thereinto to obtain a resulting material of the condensation reaction; and aging the resulting material of the condensation reaction to obtain a transparent solution. The non-fluorinated silane comprises one or more materials selected from the group consisting of decyltrimethoxysilane, glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane, phenyl trimethoxysilane, and methyltrimethoxysilane. According to the present invention, through the solution process, it is possible to prepare a water repellent coating solution which is environmentally friendly since the coating solution does not contain fluorine that is an environmental toxic material, and which exhibits excellent visible light transmittance, a contact angle with respect to water, and pencil hardness.
