The present invention relates to a system for monitoring a mortality event, capable of immediately sensing a death-leap person, and maximizing the efficiency of lifesaving by recognizing an accurate position. According to the present invention, the system for monitoring a mortality event of a bridge using a laser scanning method comprises: a plurality of scanner units arranged in a longitudinal direction toward one side of a bridge and emitting a laser beam diffused to a horizontal plane oriented to one side thereof; a monitoring region formed by recognition ranges by the laser beam emitted from each of the scanner units; and a monitoring module for distinguishing and determining a case that a death-leap person exists in the monitoring region.
