The present invention provides a multimode ion transporting apparatus which selectively provides a fuel cell mode, an electrolyzing cell mode, and a gas separating membrane mode. A multimode ion transporting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a membrane structure which includes a first electrode, a second electrode which is arranged to be opposed at the first electrode, and an electrolyte which is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; a first circuit which is electrically connected to the membrane structure and constitutes a fuel cell mode; a second circuit which is electrically connected to the membrane structure and constitutes an electrolyzing cell mode; a third circuit which is electrically connected to the membrane structure and constitutes a gas separating membrane mode; and a switch unit which selects one among the first circuit, the second circuit, or the third circuit.
