The present invention relates to an animal model and a method for screening a substance for treating or preventing inflammatory responses using the same. According to the present invention, the animal model into which cysteine protease has been administered in vagina can have significant synergistic effects on induction of inflammatory responses, particularly with the administration of progestin. In addition, a therapeutic agent such as a vaccine can be developed by screening the substance for treating or preventing infectious disease using the produced animal model.
