Disclosed is a method for optimizing a convergent factor of an adaptive filter using a normalized least mean square (NLMS) algorithm of a frequency domain. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method comprises the steps of: converting an input signal divided into a plurality of frames into a frequency domain in a time domain using discrete Fourier transform; calculating power of the converted input signal; estimating a square mean of a target signal provided from the outside; calculating an optimum value of a convergent factor of a current frame using the power of the converted input signal, the square mean of the target signal, a square mean of a system error of a previous frame, and a variance of a system variation; and calculating a square mean of a system error of a current frame using the optimum value of the convergent factor of the current frame, the power of the converted input signal, the square mean of the target signal, the square mean of the system error of the previous frame, and the variance of the system variation.
