In an inductive energy delivery system, the phase of the signal applied to the transmit coil to transmit energy is adjusted while energy is transferred from the transmitting device to the receiving device. The phase of the signal can be adjusted by changing the state of the DC-AC converter from the converted state to the non-converted state. The DC-AC converter outputs a signal applied to the transmission coil when the DC-AC converter is in the conversion state. When the DC-to-AC converter is in the non-converted state, no signal is applied to the transmit coil.
