Microorganism for Inhibiting Inter-species Quorum Sensing and Membrane Water Treatment Apparatus and Membrane Water Treatment Process Using the Same

The present invention relates to a technology for inhibiting biofilm formation by inhibiting detection of a quorum of a microorganism, which is one of causes of biofilm contamination on a surface of a membrane in a membrane water treatment process. More particularly, the present invention relates to a novel microorganism having a function of deactivating signal molecules for detecting inter-species quorum, a microorganism immobilization vessel in which the microorganism is immobilized in a permeable carrier, and a membrane water treatment apparatus/process including the microorganism immobilization vessel. The microorganism of the present invention can deactivate a quorum detecting signal molecule commonly used in gram negative bacteria and gram positive bacteria. Therefore, biofilm contamination in membrane bioreactor processes, which both gram negative bacteria and gram positive bacteria are involved, can be more effectively inhibited.
