The present invention relates to a density-driven multi-path scheduling system and method for low power synchronization in a wireless sensor network. The density-driven multipath scheduling system includes a multipath scheduling module which calculates the density of the neighbor nodes of a reference node for each reference node while increasing a hop level when initializing a wireless sensor network or changing the node, and sets a multipath by selecting a plurality of next reference nodes according to the calculated density order, and a multipath synchronization module which simultaneously synchronizes the nodes of the multiple paths at each hop level with the time of the reference nodes selected by the multipath scheduling module. The total number of hops is reduced by utilizing the simultaneous synchronization of the multipath. So, the total delay time of the synchronization after active mode switching and network power consumption can be minimized.
