Machinable sintered glass for phyllosilicate-based structures

摘要

Sintered machinable glass-ceramics are provided. This machinable glass-ceramic maintains the sheet-form and related cutting properties of the phyllosilicate while simultaneously mixing the phyllosilicate material with the sheet structure with the glass frit and sintering the mixture at a relatively low temperature to sinter the fillosilicate . The sintered machinable glass-ceramics can be processed with conventional metal working tools and include the electrical properties of the fill silicate. The production of this sintered machinable glass-ceramics does not require the relatively high bulk nucleation and crystallization required to form the sheet fill silicate phase in situ.
