Power cable misconnection detection method and apparatus

A power cable misconnection detection method and an apparatus thereof are disclosed. The power cable misconnection detection method of a control motor includes the steps of: (a) checking a change of a load angle between a rotor system and a rotor of the control motor by corresponding to the current vector control of the control motor; and (b) determining whether or not a power cable of the control motor is misconnected by checking a stator three-phase current frequency according to the change of the load angle. Accordingly, the present invention can simply detect the misconnection of the power cable without additional hardware.
