The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security- and safety-related services, etc.) based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. According to the present invention, disclosed is a base station terminal operation for beam recovery when a single/multi BPL is operated in a multi-beam based system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a method and an apparatus for operating the same, in a method for processing a control signal in a wireless communication system comprising the steps of: receiving a first control signal transmitted from a base station; processing the received first control signal; and transmitting a second control signal generated based on the processing to the base station.
