The present invention relates to a brace reinforcement member to improve seismic performance of a steel building, which easily couples a reinforcement strip plate and a spacing plate through only bolting work without welding work for a brace with a double angle-shaped core installed in a steel structure to increase compressive resistance performance, forms a buckling reinforcement casing for surrounding the core to reinforce a weak axis of the core, and expands a cross section of the core to increase buckling resistance performance, and a non-welding/non-buckling brace reinforcement method using the same. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the brace reinforcement member to improve seismic performance of a steel building comprises: a reinforcement strip plate formed in a plate shape with a predetermined thickness having a coupling hole penetrating a central part to be inserted into a space between vertical plates at a position where a coupling hole of the core is formed so as to be integrally coupled with both side cores by a bo the spacing plate formed parallel to a horizontal plate at an end part of the vertical plate having a horizontal plate of the core to form the reinforcement strip plate therein; and a pair of buckling reinforcement casings including a main body with a flat U-shaped sectional shape and a predetermined length, a coupling part extended by outwardly and vertically bending both end parts of the main body, and a reinforcement part to which an outer end part of the coupling part is outwardly and vertically extended, so as to surround the longitudinal central part of the core, such that the coupling parts come in surface contact with each other in both directions of the core to be coupled with a bolt.
