The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating dental caries or periodontal disease caused by proliferation of oral pathogens. More particularly, the present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of dental caries or periodontal disease caused by proliferation of oral pathogens containing bamboo salt as an active ingredient, a health functional food composition for prevention or alleviation, and a composition for oral care. The composition of the present invention exhibits an excellent growth inhibitory effect against Streptococcus mutans or Streptococcus sanguinis, which are oral pathogens, and an acid production inhibitory effect by the oral pathogens.
