The present invention relates to a method of reinforcing foundation underground to exhibit large resistance against vertical load, and to a lattice support used in the same, which are formed of a polygonal columnar structure having no vertical upper surface and lower surface and being opened, and having only a plurality of horizontal sides, wherein the horizontal side of a lattice support (1) are each formed of a lattice-structured plate (201), wherein the lattice-structured plate (201) includes a plurality of lattice units (20) coupled together in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction and integrally joined to each other on one plane, such that the lattice support deformed with Poissons ratio of negative (-) is embedded into the foundation underground. Accordingly, the present invention is able to reinforce foundation underground to exhibit large resistance against vertical load.
