The present invention relates to a functional feed composition including 5-25 wt% of giant kelp powder relative to the total weight of the composition. According to the present invention, the functional feed composition can increase feed efficiency by using giant kelp, which is a seaweed variety easily obtained in the sea, as an ingredient, increase the income of producers, and lower the preparation cost of the livestock products to produce livestock products without price resistance from consumers. The conventional livestock products, such as beef, pork, eggs, and milk, have a fatty acid ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 of from 1 : 20 to 1 : 75 while not including any DHA or EPA in the fatty acids. Compared to the conventional products, the livestock products obtained from the animals consuming the functional feed composition can meet the preferred omega-3 verses omega-6 ratio of the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 : 4, while having a large amount of DHA and EPA.
