In addition to reducing gaseous emissions such as hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, and carbon monoxide, exhaust systems and components suitable for use in a gasoline engine to capture particulates are provided. There is provided an exhaust treatment system comprising a three-way conversion (TWC) catalyst located in a particulate filter. A coated particulate filter having a washcoat load ranging from 1 to 4 g / ft provides TWC catalytic activity and particulate collection capability to meet increasingly stringent regulations such as the flow path 6, . A sufficiently high level of oxygen storage component (OSC) is delivered onto and / or into the filter. The filter may have a coated porosity that is substantially the same as the uncoated porosity. The TWC catalyst material may include a particle size distribution wherein the first set of particles has a first d90 particle size of less than 7.5 microns and the second set of particles has a second d90 particle size of greater than 7.5 microns. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.
