The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for predicting a risky site of coronary artery stenosis using virtual stenosis simulation. The method for predicting a risky site of coronary artery stenosis according to the present invention comprises the steps of: creating a three-dimensional form data of a coronary artery by using cardiovascular photographic image; selecting a site for virtual stenosis, which leads to selection of sites for adding virtual stenosis data to the created three-dimensional form data of a coronary artery; adding virtual stenosis data having predetermined degree of stenosis for each selected site of virtual stenosis to create three-dimensional form data of a virtual stenotic model of a coronary artery; assigning a boundary condition of blood flow to the three-dimensional form data of a virtual stenotic model of a coronary artery and performing fluid dynamics numerical analysis simulation where amounts of blood flow states (pressure and blood flow speed) are calculated for each inner side of the three-dimensional models of a coronary artery; using the amounts of blood flow states obtained by the fluid dynamics numerical analysis simulation for each of virtual stenotic sites to calculate representative values of fractional flow reserve (FFRct) and wall shear stress (WSS) according to a changing degree of stenosis; obtaining a correlation coefficient among representative values of a degree of stenosis, FFRct, and WSS for each of the virtual stenotic sites; and comparing correlation coefficients for each of the virtual stenotic sites to display relative risk levels of the virtual stenotic sites. The present invention is able to prevent fatal heart damage.
