A method for tracking an AltBOC signal includes a steps of allowing a receiver to receive an AltBOC signal, a step of allowing the receiver to divide the subcarrier of the AltBOC signal into 8r (r is a natural number) partial subcarriers having the same period, a step of allowing the receiver to correlate each of the 8r partial subcarriers with the AltBOC signal to generate 8r partial correlation functions, a step of allowing the receiver to combine the partial correlation functions to generate a new correlation function, and a step of allowing the receiver to track a signal using the new correlation function. It is possible to generate a sharp correlation function having a removed surrounding peak.
