The present invention relates to a method for estimating machine degradation using a degradation trend and, more specifically, relates to a method for estimating machine degradation, which is performed by an apparatus for estimating machine degradation, and comprises the following steps of: analyzing frequency of an input signal to be divided into a plurality of sub-band signals; generating a degradation trend by extracting an integrity index from the divided sub-band signals; correcting a downward trend of the integrity index of each sub-band signal in the generated degradation trend; estimating an inclination with respect to the corrected downward trend, and extracting a degradation trend portion from each sub-band with an estimated result of the inclination; and estimating the degradation trend by mixing the extracted degradation trend portion of each sub-band.
