Provided is an inspection device and a control method thereof for precisely identifying anti-corrosion performance of antifreeze by confirming loss of additives contained in antifreeze used in a cooling system provided in an environmentally friendly vehicle and for solving a problem due to engine overheating of a vehicle by preventing corrosion of a cooling device included in an environmentally friendly vehicle. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the inspection device comprises: a pump; a water channel through which an inspection object moves; an application device for generating an electric field and applying the electric field to the inspection object flowing in the water channel; a filter for filtering a product of the inspection object passing through the electric field application device; and a control portion controlling the pump to circulate the inspection object and analyzing the inspection object based on the product deposited in the filter.
