The present invention is to simplify a structure of a pivot-type active hinge device for a vehicle hood to achieve smooth operation in a lightweight configuration. The pivot-type active hinge device according to the present invention comprises: an actuator which is operated by receiving a signal of a sensor; a vehicle body bracket which is fixed to a vehicle body of a vehicle; and a hood bracket which fixes an active operation unit and a hood. The lower portion of the actuator is connected to the vehicle body bracket by a pivot structure. The upper portion is connected to an operation piece and a connection piece constituting the active operation unit, one side of which is connected to a curved portion of the vehicle body bracket by an axis pin. According to the present invention, the actuator operated at the time of colliding with a pedestrian during driving of a vehicle is connected to the active hinge device. Accordingly, it is possible to perfectly prevent, after the hood is moved backward and raised, the hood from descending again by the weight of the hood itself or the weight of the pedestrian.
