PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON AND FIBER-REINFORCED MOLDED RESIN ARTICLE
A process for producing a glass fiber fabric having good smoothness and excellent in resin impregnation property is provided. In the weaving process, when a glass fiber cloth is obtained by weaving a glass fiber cloth, first, the glass fiber cloth is immersed in an aqueous dispersion liquid of silica fine particles to attach the fine silica particles to the surface of the glass filament of the glass cloth , A fabric with a fine silica particle is obtained. Next, carding treatment is applied to the fabric with the fine silica particles to obtain a carded fabric in which the warp and weft of the fabric with fine silica particles are widened in the carding process. Next, in the heating step, the carded fiber fabric is heat-treated in a heating furnace, and a part or all of the fine silica particles adhered to the carded fabric is fused to the surface of the glass filaments to obtain a glass fiber cloth having fine silica particles.
