The present invention relates to a method to check a recording time of an event data recorder using acoustic analysis, and an apparatus and a computer program thereof. According to the present invention, the method to check a recording time of the event data recorder (EDR) comprises: a step of obtaining a major engine RPM count and recording the data, whose recording time is not now, from the EDR of a vehicle; a step of obtaining time area acoustic data including acoustic information of an event time of the vehicle from a sound storage apparatus; a step of calculating frequency area acoustic data from the time area acoustic data by using the Fourier Transform; a step of using an order analysis to calculate a major engine RPM count estimation data of the vehicle of the event time from the frequency area acoustic data; and a step of comparing the major engine RPM count estimation data of the vehicle with the major engine RPM count record data to determine if the time, for which the event data recorder has recorded the major engine RPM count record data, agrees with the event time. The present invention is to provide a method and apparatus to check a recording time of the EDR, which are able to check if an event record stored in the EDR is done by an event, which is the actual subject of analysis, through acoustic analysis.
