The present invention relates to a method for removing copper ions or zinc ions contained in the water by using an underwater plasma discharge method, and more specifically, to a method for removing divalent cation metal using underwater plasma discharge, which comprises the following steps: installing an electrode composed of a positive electrode and a negative electrode in a reaction tank of a predetermined size accommodating the divalent cation metal and raw water containing an electrolyte; generating plasma by supplying voltage to the anode; solidifying the divalent cation metal in an oxide form; and separating a solid phase granulated metal oxide, wherein the anode is tungsten, and a cathode platinum.
