The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition or a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammation, allergic diseases, and malaria, containing a kaempferol-3-O-rhamnopyranoside derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. More specifically, when BEAS-2B cells, in which inflammatory stimuli were induced, is treated with kaempferol-3-O-(2,4-O-diacetyl-α-L-rhamnopyranoside) and kaempferol-3-O-(3,4-O-diacetyl-α-L-rhamnopyranoside), inflammatory cytokine such as interleukin (IL) 8 is inhibited. The kaempferol-3-O-rhamnopyranoside derivative of the present invention can be useful as pharmaceutical compositions or cosmetic compositions for preventing or treating inflammation, allergic diseases, and malaria.
