PMIPv6 SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING INTER-DOMAIN HANDOVER IN PROXY MOBILE IPv6 BASED ON SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

The present invention provides a handover system between PMIPv6 domains based on a software-defined network (SDN) to minimize transmission delay to process handover between domains in a PMIPv6 environment and a method for the same. According to the embodiment of the present invention, an open flow controller of the handover system between PMIPv6 domains based on the SDN stores a flow entry including a home network prefix about a mobile node registered in advance. The open flow controller individually communicates with the open flow controller of a second domain different from that of the first domain, a mobile excess gateway in a first domain which a user belongs to, and a local mobile anchor of the first domain. When a router request in accordance with connection of the mobile node is received from the mobile excess gateway in the first domain, the home network prefix of the mobile node is requested to the open flow controller of the second domain which the mobile node was previously connected to based on mobile node identification information included in a router request. When the home network prefix corresponding to the request is obtained, the mobile node identification information of the mobile node, and information on the mobile excess gateway to which the mobile node is connected, and the home network prefix are registered in the local mobile anchor of the first domain. So, the handover system processes the handover of the mobile node.
