The present invention relates to a composition for normalizing biorhythm, containing sinapic acid or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. More specifically, the composition strengthens patterns of circadian rhythm weakened by aging, and normalizes skin biological clock against disturbance in the biological clock caused by ultraviolet rays, aging, pollution factors, or external stress. Such functions can be useful in a composition capable of preventing, ameliorating, or treating circadian rhythm-associated sleep disorder caused by abnormal biorhythm. In addition, the sinapic acid or the salt thereof is a chemical substance derived from plants and is safe with little side effects on human body, thereby being safely applicable to cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions.
