The present invention relates to a preparation method of rod-like potassium hexatitanate, the preparation method comprising: a first step of adding a potassium carbonate (K_2CO_3) powder and a titanium dioxide (TiO_2) powder to distilled water and mixing the potassium carbonate (K_2CO_3) powder and the titanium dioxide (TiO_2) powder with distilled water to prepare a mixed suspension; a second step of preparing and collecting a uniformly mixed potassium hydrogen carbonate (KHCO_3)-titanium dioxide (TiO_2) mixed powder from the mixed suspension by using an aerosol device; and a third step of performing a post-heat treatment process on the collected powder to prepare a potassium hexatitanate (K_2Ti_6O_13) powder. Therefore, the preparation method according to the present invention can prepare potassium hexatitanate that has not been easily prepared by a conventional heating method very efficiently through the aerosol device and the post-heat treatment process. Further, the preparation method according to the present invention can prepare rod-like potassium hexatitanate with an aspect ratio of 3 to 8 by adjusting a crystal structure.
