The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a cementitious composition comprising metakaolin in an amount of not more than 5 wt.% Based on the total solids in cement, sand and dry mix, and aluminum cement in small amounts (1 wt.% Of the total solids in the dry mix) A dry mix useful as a tile grout, its use and a method of using it as a tile grout. When the dry mix is made into mortar, it exhibits excellent whitening resistance as a tile grout.
