The present invention does not show any cytotoxicity specifically for spleen cells (see Fig. 1), and promotes the proliferation of spleen cells, bone marrow cells and blood cell cells inhibited by irradiation in vitro and in vivo (Fig. 2 4, and FIG. 5), and a composition for protecting against an immuno-hematopoietic function by radiation using a retbit extract having an activity of recovering DNA damage by irradiation.
