Feed additive containing abeliophyllum distichum and method of producing feed using the feed additive

The present invention relates to a feed additive containing abeliophyllum distichum, which is a useful functional component for promoting growth of livestock and enhancing meat quality and functional quality, and a method for manufacturing feed using the same feed additive. The feed additive is realized by mixing 30-70 wt% of a diluting agent with 30-70 wt% of abeliophyllum distichum powder made by grinding two or more portions of leaves, stems, fruits and root of the abeliophyllum distichum with a particle size of 10-100 mesh. In addition, the method for manufacturing feed using a feed additive including the above mentioned components comprises the steps of: (a) cutting any one or two or more portions of leaves, stems, fruits and root of the abeliophyllum distichum into 1-10 cm segments; (b) cleaning the abeliophyllum distichum cut in the step (a) and drying the cleaned abeliophyllum distichum; (c) grinding the abeliophyllum distichum dried in the step (b) with a particle size of 10-100 mesh to prepare abeliophyllum distichum powder; (d) mixing the abeliophyllum distichum powder made in the step (c) with the diluting agent made by mixing any one or two or more of grains such as sorghum, wheat, barley and corn, cakes such as soybean cake, cotton seed cake, rapeseed cake, vegetable seed cake and sunflower seed cake, and brans such as rice bran, barley bran and wheat bran to form a mixture; (e) steaming the mixture made in the step (d) for 8-12 minutes; (f) extruding the mixture steamed in the step (e) through a compressor at the temperature of 60-100°C, and forming the extruded mixture in a desired shape to manufacture the feed additive; and (g) adding 0.1-2.0 wt% of the feed additive made in the step (f) with respect to the total weight of the feed.
