The present invention relates to a PWM switching frequency control apparatus and a method thereof, and more specifically, to a PWM switching frequency control apparatus and a method thereof increasing a PWM switching frequency by using a negative PWM method, thereby reducing the size of a circuit and improving control responsiveness. The PWM switching frequency control device according to the present invention comprises: a PFC converter converting an AC voltage into a DC voltage and including a transistor for controlling an operation of the PFC converter and a current sensor for measuring current flowing in the transistor; and a controller receiving an output of the current sensor and calculating a duty ratio of a switching signal applied to a gate terminal of the transistor based on the output, wherein the controller applies the calculated duty ratio to the switching signal in an on-duty period of the switching signal.
