A power control and channel allocation method and system for topology control of a wireless mesh network are disclosed. The power control and channel allocation method and system for topology control of a wireless mesh network according to an embodiment of the present invention include configuring a wireless mesh network topology based on transmitting and receiving powers between neighboring nodes measured using beacon packets and allocating channels based on a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) thereby reducing energy consumption of mesh nodes forming a wireless mesh network. In a power control and channel allocation method in a wireless mesh network, the method may comprise the steps of measuring transmission and reception powers of a neighboring node with respect to a plurality of mesh nodes included in the wireless mesh network; generating a topology graph, GT corresponding to the wireless mesh network that indicates a plurality of mesh nodes and link information between the plurality of mesh nodes based on the measured transmission and reception powers; and allocating channels corresponding to each of the plurality of mesh nodes based on the generated topology graph and a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR).
