The present invention discloses a method and a device for determining whether various news existing on a social network service (SNS) are suspected to be false by using collective intelligence of an SNS user. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for determining news using collective intelligence comprises the following steps of: receiving a suspicion tag which is a tag suspecting determination target news to be false from a plurality of suspicion users of the SNS with respect to the determination target news posted on the SNS; calculating a suspicion index for the determination target news by using a relationship on the SNS between the plurality of suspicion users; and determining whether the determination target news is suspicion target news which is the news suspected to be false based on the suspicion index and a predetermined threshold value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
