The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an open mask assembly, the open mask assembly manufactured thereby, and an apparatus for manufacturing the open mask assembly. The method for manufacturing an open mask assembly includes a first step of forming a plurality of preliminary openings on a thin film metal sheet; a second step of stretching the metal sheet on which the plurality of preliminary openings are formed and bonding the metal sheet to a mask frame; and a third step of trimming the plurality of preliminary openings on the metal sheet bonded to the mask frame to a predetermined design dimension by using a laser.
