The present invention relates to a system for managing vehicle mortgage cancellation data and a method thereof. The system for managing vehicle mortgage cancellation data includes: a database unit for storing information on a full payer of vehicle installment finance, information on an application for registration of mortgage cancellation, and information on registration of mortgage cancellation; and an on-cars server for transmitting a message which guides registration of vehicle mortgage cancellation to a cellular phone of a petitioner, a mortgage of whom is not cancelled although the petitioner has fully paid, with reference to the database unit, receiving information on an application for registration of vehicle mortgage cancellation from the petitioner, inquiring an original register book, and proceeding a mortgage cancellation registration procedure. In the embodiment of the present invention, a problem of impeding exercise of property rights of a vehicle owner since the vehicle mortgage is not cancelled is solved, and complaints occurring in the financial sector, such as installment finance companies and the like, due to insufficient guidance of mortgage cancellation are reduced, and the vehicle owner may speed up sale or scrap of a vehicle according as the mortgage cancellation work is processed online.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
